Let's get started.

November 06, 2021

We have big challenges facing us, and in the coming weeks, we need you to be part of the conversation about how to move Pennsylvania forward.

We're taking the first step in the transition process by launching the Wolf Administration Transition website.

During the transition, we will work to bring together people from diverse backgrounds who have new and innovative ideas for Pennsylvania. And we want to hear from you. Take some time to reach out. Sign up for email alerts so you can be the first to hear about exciting announcements. And if you're interested in joining the team, you can submit your resume.

There are big challenges ahead. Tom wants to reestablish education as a priority in Pennsylvania by implementing a five percent severance tax to fund Pennsylvania's schools, make Pennsylvania's economy work for everyone, and level the playing field for all Pennsylvanians.

Pennsylvania has unlimited potential, and we all believe in Pennsylvania's future. As Tom said on Tuesday night:

Pennsylvania is the perfect place to do this. I know there are a lot of modest people here. Pennsylvanians are modest by nature.

Well, let me just give you a little history lesson on Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania was founded by William Penn on some of the most noble ideas at the time: freedom of conscience. It was an inclusive place that welcomed a lot of people to Pennsylvania, and because it was inclusive and open and free, because it was that kind of place, we had a strong economy. We had a strong society. Pennsylvania is where this nation was founded. The Declaration of Independence - Pennsylvania. Our two constitutions - Pennsylvania. The Articles of the Confederation, which of course were drafted in York, Pennsylvania.  The 1787 Constitution was drafted in Philadelphia. Those principles of the founders were reaffirmed in blood at the battle in Gettysburg, in Pennsylvania.

We have two world class cities. We have great universities. We have a location that is the envy of the world, smack dab in the middle of the richest market in the world. We have open space. We are one of the largest economies in the world. We have so much. We have some of the greatest people in the world, the greatest work force in the world. This is a place that deserves to have a great future.

We need to expect a lot of ourselves, and if we do, we can do great things here.

and help give Pennsylvania a fresh start.
